179 Design : What do we do in here?
AV Tech :
(Video Production)
In A/V Tech, students learn all the ins and outs of sending a message via the combination of audio and visual production. They'll learn how to tell a story using scripts, storyboards, video and sound capture equipment, and how to edit it all together masterfully via Adobe Premiere Pro.
Students in this class also have the opportunity to be part of the Evans High School News Team. There, they will learn the art of using a green screen, what sports broadcasting can be like, and the responsibilities involved when communiating pertinent news to the rest of the student body.

Adobe Software, Principles & Elements of Design
Introduction
to Graphic Arts
In Introduction to Graphic Arts, students discover the basics of creating images digitally using Adobe software. They learn how to use Adobe Photoshop to manipulate a rasterized image, how to create and change vector shapes using Adobe Illustrator, and how to compose a page layout using Adobe InDesign.
Learning design terminology is heavily emphasized during this 1st year class, and students will be able to give and receive constructive criticism to their peers with great understanding of the Principles and Elements of Design.
Graphic Design & Production
Students in the Graphic Design & Production class experience what it is like to create designs and products for the public. Using our vinyl machine and press, students learn to create shirts, fabric decals. In addition, screenprinting will soon be available and students will help create shirts for not only Evans High School, but customers in our community as well.
Students in Graphic Design & Production will learn about web design and how to create an online portfolio, how to create packaging for various products, and how to work in teams to develop effective designs for various projects around our school and community.
